Barrel House BBQ – Lynchburg, Tennessee
So on our last trip into Lynchburg we were looking for a different place to eat and just off the square, I saw this sign.
I knew we HAD to eat here. We hadn’t seen their episode of BBQ Pit Masters but if they had been featured on the show we knew the food had to be good! So In we went!
The inside is very casual and they allow people to write just about everywhere.
If you find my website I left, take a picture and tag me on Instagram #FrugalNavyWife
I love that they embrace the history around them and use the Jack Daniel’s Barrels to make their tables and décor.
I had the quarter chicken, BBQ beans and potato salad. It was YUMMY!
Hubby had the ribs, BBQ beans, and corn on the cob he said it was the best ribs he had ever had (which made me sad because my slow cooker ribs held that spot until then!)
The owner was great he walked around and talked to everyone, took orders and delivered food as needed, he loved hearing every ones stories!
With the food, they had a few types of BBQ sauce hubby and I both used mild but toward the end, hubby got brave and tried their ghost pepper sauce. I had to laugh at his face.
We were bummed we didn’t find this place until our last day in Tennessee but we will stop again next time we are in the area!
I have eaten at The Barrellhouse many many times, concider Chuck the owner a Friend The only suggestion I have for when you go there to eat…..
GO HUNGRY !!!! You will not be disappointed !! Eleven Thumbs Up !!!
