Included in our visit to Winter and Hope at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium was a trip to Winter Dolphin Tale Adventure, which was across the water. You can get there by trolley or by water taxi. We took the trolley since it was there first. This is the area where they have all the props and behind the scenes area of how the Dolphin Tale Movies were made.

Walking in the kids were mesmerized by the hanging shark. This building has so many of the props, sets, and things used in the movie.

Many of the signs from the movie are displayed here.

These signs are all over giving tidbits from the movie.

Then the behind the scene ‘Did you know’? Signs

The workshop! Above they had a Tv playing each clip that took place in the workshop. These are the prop used and even the actual desk.

This scene they had a trainer holding on to each raft in the movie they were edited out.

Sawyers Grage. This is the actual garage that the movie was filmed in, and it was used in this exact spot!

Then we got to walk through Swayers house.

We also peeked into Sawyers room.

The hallway was covered in information about hurricanes.

They also had a map of the 2004 hurricanes including Hurricane Charley (read my experience in Hurricane Charley).

Then you get to walk through a  category one hurricane simulator, including the hallway of Sawyers Hosue.

Then you walk into a city like setting similar to the one in the movie. The wind is gusting everywhere it’s hard to see and there are loud noises from the power lines goes down.

Then I get back from taking the older kids through the wind, and my baby girl is OUT! It has been a long day after all!

Facts from the Winter Smoothie scene

They had a 2nd crows next that wasn’t on the houseboat to shoot the scenes.

They used the one on the actual boat, but they also used this one in front of a green screen

I LOVE the pieces!!

The kids got to walk the red carpet as if attending the movie premiere of Dolphin Tales. They had a blast with this I had a hard time getting them to stand still to get this picture!

On the trolley ride back to our car baby girl didn’t even want to wake up she passed out on daddy! We had a blast, and it made a great birthday gift for my son!
