St Armands Circle – Sarasota Florida
With some great weather in Florida we wanted to take advantage of it, one way we love to do so in with outdoor shopping (but we don't always buy something so I guess it's window shopping)! We had already hit the Venice Ave shops, so this time, we headed up to St Armand Circle in Sarasota.
I remember heading here from time to time growing up as well. You know you are close with the Sailor Kiss Statue.
I have to say I was a bit checked as we parked and were getting the kids out a girl came up to me asking if the truck was mine because she saw my sign on the back for The Frugal Navy Wife. She came up and introduced herself, and we talked for a few minutes. So shout out to Liz for stopping to say hi!
We went just days after Christmas, and they still had their big Christmas Tree up.
One thing I have always loved is that they have a row of restaurants where you can eat right on the sidewalk.
They have almost everything you can think of here shop wise. They have a fancy children's clothing boutique. The clothes in the window are just so darn cute!
Of course, we are in Florida, and they have decor for that!
One store had this tree in the window. Being a former Navy Wife, I loved it!

They have tons of history around the circle like this statue of Christopher Columbus.
Plus when you stop you HAVE to stop and get some ice cream and fudge at Kilwins.
You can watch them make the fudge…
… and their own waffle cones.
Not to far from there is a fantastic art sculpture shop. I didn't dare go in with four kids….
Of course, they have the high-end stores as well!
The inner circle across the street from the shops are these plaques.
They are all around the circle.
They are all related to the circus just like Ringling was. Then we found out a bit more info on St Armands Circle; John Ringling himself started it.
When you are done with shopping, you can load your bags in your car and then head down to the beach and take a walk around or watch the sun set.
You are also right around the corner from Mote Marine, so you can take the kids there first then bribe them to be good for some shopping and ice cream!
Have you been to St Armands Circle? What treasure have you found?
