Hotel Emma’s on-site restaurant is found on the northern extension of the Riverwalk and it’s all about great food. It has a largely vegetarian menu full of very colorful ingredients.

The food is filling but light so it’s great if you’re going to go out walking afterward. It’s not only the great food that sets this place apart, however. The service, the staff, the atmosphere, and the views are delightful. It’s an experience you won’t forget.

Biga on the Banks

This one likes doing a twist on the food you love. Things like Salmon Nachos, and sticky toffee pudding. They are known for all the care they put into their food and have been recognized for it and they have been ranked in many of the top publications and the best part? They don't have that touristy vibe. 

Schilo's

One of the oldest restaurants on the river walk (it's been there since 1917!!) they are known for their famous split pe soup. Peas, not your thing? That's ok they have an amazing Ruben sandwich and homemade root beer as well! Best of all are the prices. Most everything is under $10.

Ocho

How often do you get to eat an amazing meal in a glass conservatory that overlooks the San Antonio River? Don't up in blue and white with elegant chandeliers this place is Instagram worth before you even see the menu.

But their food is pretty amazing too. They mix Cuban, Mexico, and Texas recipes together for an amazing experience. Things like their crispy snapper in coconut sauce and pair it with one of their margaritas, they have been named the best in the city! 

 

Restaurant Gwendolyn

Found downtown along the Riverwalk, this is a fine dining experience that is great for special occasions or just a nice night out. It’s a cozy, romantic ambiance and delicious food with great views.

It has a small, simple menu but that means each item is done with perfection. They offer a three or five-course pre-fixed menu with two options that change daily. You can check the website or call ahead if you want to see what the current menu options will be.

Acenar

Here’s another nice place found downtown on the Riverwalk and you’ll find contemporary Tex-Mex in a great location. They take special care to ensure this place can compete in a city famous for Tex-Mex so you’re going to get some of the best you’ve ever had.

They have a menu unique to them with items such as Buttermilk Fried Oysters, the Young Texas Goat served with Ancho Salsa Ranchera and the Duck Crepes.
