If you are like me, you like to do things on the cheap. And, by cheap I really mean free. Life is full of experiences to be had, and I want to make as many memories as I can with my kids before they all grow up. However, money doesn’t grow on trees. Well, I can’t grow it anyway… So instead of spending my retirement on making experiences, I have found these free things to do in Sedona Arizona!

While you are at Red Rock, Drive the Scenic Byway. I like to check out books about our destinations from the library, so we can read about what we see. Take pictures, look for things you found in a book, or just enjoy the scenery. Either way, it’s free!

One of the best experiences comes from The Vortexes. With cyclones of energy coming directly from the uniquely shaped rock formations, you can feel the presence of energy emitted. It also makes for a great science lesson.

Sliding Jail – Just outside Sedona is the sliding Jail in Jerome. (there is also a ghost town state park and old mining town here for admission if you are interested).
